Looking for some Halloween fun for your class or entire school?
Please join Joel Sutherland, Jeff Szpirglas and yours truly for a ghoulishly great gathering on Friday, October 29th!
What can you expect? A delightfully campy mixture of scariness and poking fun at scariness with three authors who have written a combined total of 47 scary-licious books — a perfect blend for a fun literacy event on the last Friday before Halloween. If you want proof of that: DON’T WATCH THIS REALLY SCARY VIDEO!!
It will be a great boost to send students to the library PLUS an hour of planned fun on the one day of the year where students are going to be squirrelly with pre-Howl-o-ween buzz!
Hosted by authors Eric Walters and Sigmund Brouwer, Scary Stories is a one-hour live virtual presentation for grades 4-9 that includes engaging with the authors through the chat box and q&a session. (Our presentation format is very safe and secure.)
For as much flexibility as possible, teachers have the choice of joining the live virtual session at 11:00 a.m. or 1 p.m. Eastern on Friday, October 29. Click here to register!
When you register, you will receive a confirmation email, but please ignore the registration link — two days before the event, you will get zoom links for each of the two presentations. Teachers can broadcast the event from the smart board or individual devices in the classroom and/or share the links with remote students. For schools, if you are unable to make the live event, or if some teachers or students miss the event, we provide a limited time use recording after the event.
Hope to see you on the 29th…if you dare…
